My Grandmother Delores - A poem from a grateful grand-daughter
Q1: What is your Name?
and e-mail addresses are withheld where requested)
my very best friend,
I have some special words,
I would just like to send.
days, weeks, months happen,
the time it goes so fast,
words never get said,
if they do they never last.
I'm going to change all that,
it right here and right now,
hope the right words come along,
I'll give it a go, anyhow.
was her first grandchild (and girl),
I guess I hold a special place,
I can see it in her heartfelt actions,
can see it etched in her beautiful face.
I was just a little girl,
was a clothes basket by her bed,
remember feeling safe and warm,
happily, content and fed.
remember my green velvet suit,
bought me it when I was just ten,
always been a favourite of mine,
it is today, as it was then.
15 years we've gone to "happy hour",
"happy" hour is our "happiest" time,
been known to have one too many,
then the stairs get a bit hard to climb.
also remember as a little girl,
I still use these words today),
go shopping Grandma"
more is there left to say ?
puts the grand in Grandmother,
is such a special person to us all,
whenever I'm with her,
feel about ten feet tall.
is so energetic and so beautiful,
can see her beauty shine so bright,
the glue that holds this family together,
is this family's guiding light.
I would just like to thank her,
everything that she's done,
of all the Grandmothers in the world,
you are the number one !

think the poem is awesome! You did a great job! I would like the poem
autographed and I would like to see the original draft. I am torn
between the Single Rose and the Parchment scroll, which one do you like? I do
not mind at all publishing the poem or information, changing the name is not
